RAINMAN (United Artists, Barry Levinson, 1988) focus film.
this is the film that helped me decide on my investigation title, simply due to Dustins performance.
Rainman is a american comedy-Drama film written by Barry Morrow & Ronald Bass.
know for being proberly the most 'iconic' role Hoffman has portrayed. Hoffman plays the role of autistic Raymond Babbit. i think this being such a interesting and unique role means that it will be good to compare with some of his more 'typical' roles.

very useful! contains important and interesting information on his life, career and how he became involved in acting, personal life (This can be lined with his journey through roles when bringing my information together.) filmography & awards including a list of films he has been involved in icluding his role and dates. i can use this information to back up my points and also to get information from when making them. as with the other wikipedia pages i must be aware that it is not 100% reliable.

full of reliable information on each film, plot, synopsis, writers and directors, cast, awards, genre information, box office, including information on company credits, 'fun facts' , quotes, 'goofs' it also includes reveiws by public and watchers including audience ratings. this is pretty much the factual basis and reference website i will use for all facts and figures i find, and points i use.
it also contains information on each cast member including Dustin himself. this includes information on every project he has ever got involved with on any level.
although this website can be 'edited' by veiwers, because it is simply about movies, and because of the detailed information it includes it is more likely to be reliable.

this trailer is interesting as it shows us the basic plot, of a battle for custody of a child. but does not show us the development in relationship which is key for bringing emotion to the film. i think this is really interesting as it therefor leaves the key eliment of what makes the film as good as it is, for the actual film, therefor not spoiling the film. it also gives us a quick insight into how Dustin Hoffmans character changes through out.
